Content & Copyright Policy

1. Ownership and Cleared Master Rights

You must hold 100% of the distribution, broadcast, and intellectual property rights for every file you upload. This means:

• No uncleared samples. If your track utilizes melodies, vocal loops, drum beats, or audio clips from another copyrighted work, you must possess written, legal licensure from the original copyright holder allowing for commercial distribution and broadcast.
• No “type beats” without exclusive or commercial licenses. Utilizing background tracks or instrumental loops downloaded online without an explicit commercial lease or ownership contract is strictly forbidden.
• Cover songs. You may submit acoustic or reimagined cover songs for live radio broadcast rotation, provided you explicitly check the “Cover Song” box during upload. However, you cannot attach physical or digital merchandise sales to cover song assets unless you hold a mechanical distribution license for the underlying composition.

2. The Open Kanto Policy & Creative Curation

Our “Open Kanto Policy” means we do not discriminate based on production budgets, sub-genres, regional dialects, or geographic origins within the Philippine archipelago or the diaspora. However, to maintain a safe ecosystem for our global community and sponsors, all uploads must pass a human curation checkpoint ensuring:

• Safety. No hate speech, systemic discrimination, or incitement to real-world violence.
• Broadcast quality. The audio file meets a baseline broadcast quality standard (minimum 192kbps MP3 or standard WAV format) free from debilitating microphone clipping or distortion.

Curation protects artists — it never gatekeeps genre, budget, or dialect. If it's independent OPM, it has a home on our airwaves.

3. Take-Down Protocols and Enforcement

If Tunog Kalye Radio receives a formal Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notice, an international copyright strike, or a legitimate claim of ownership regarding an asset on your account:

• Immediate removal. The contested asset will be immediately removed from the 24/7 radio rotation playlist and the digital merch marketplace.
• Earnings hold. Pending dashboard earnings associated with that asset may be frozen temporarily during an active ownership dispute.
• Repeat offenders. Repeat offenders who intentionally upload stolen intellectual property will have their Artist Profile permanently terminated.

4. You Always Own Your Masters

Artists always maintain 100% ownership of their master rights. Tunog Kalye Radio is granted a non-exclusive broadcast and distribution license only — never an assignment of copyright — and that license is revocable by the artist at any time.

• Remove anytime. You can request the removal of your own catalog from Tunog Kalye Radio at any time via the Artist Dashboard or by emailing our support team. No questions asked, no lock-in contracts.
• Non-exclusive by design. You remain free to submit, sell, license, or distribute your music through any other station, platform, or outlet while it airs on Tunog Kalye.

5. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe content on Tunog Kalye Radio infringes your copyright, send a notice to our support team including: identification of the copyrighted work, the URL or artist page where the infringing material appears, your contact information, a statement of good-faith belief, and a statement made under penalty of perjury that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.

We review every report within 5 business days and will remove contested assets pending resolution.
