The TKR Airplay Pipeline
Tunog Kalye Radio is an independent Filipino radio station broadcasting OPM 24/7 to listeners in 45+ countries. We are always looking for fresh talent to join our rotation.
Whether you are a solo bedroom producer in Makati, a punk band in Surrey, or an R&B singer in Dubai, the kalye is open to all Filipino voices. Read the guidelines below carefully before submitting to ensure the fastest possible review time.
Technical Requirements
Five requirements. One standard.
File Format
- High-quality MP3 (320kbps) or WAV format
- Ensure files are not corrupted and play correctly end-to-end
- Avoid overly compressed or low-bitrate files (below 192kbps) as they may be rejected for broadcast quality reasons
- Maximum file size: 50MB per track
- If submitting an EP or album, zip all tracks into a single archive
Metadata & Tagging
- Embed correct Artist Name and Song Title in file metadata (ID3 tags for MP3)
- Include Album Art as embedded cover art (at least 600x600px, square aspect ratio)
- Tag tracks with the appropriate genre (e.g., OPM, Pinoy Rock, Alternative, R&B, Hip-Hop)
- Include your Album/EP name if applicable
- Properly tagged tracks help our DJs identify your music quickly and improve your on-air credit
Clean vs. Explicit Content
- Label tracks as [Explicit] if they contain strong language or mature themes
- If you have both clean and explicit versions, submit both and note which is which
- TKR broadcasts 24/7 to a general audience; explicit tracks may be scheduled for late-night slots only
- We reserve the right to edit or skip explicit content during daytime programming
- Unclear labeling may result in delayed review or automatic scheduling restrictions
Bio & Press Assets
- Include a short artist bio (maximum 150 words) describing your sound, influences, and story
- Provide a high-resolution press photo (minimum 1000x1000px) for your TKR artist profile
- List your social media handles (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube)
- Mention your city or hometown so we can highlight you in regional features
- If you are part of a label or collective, include that information as well
The Open Kanto Policy
- Tunog Kalye Radio prioritizes independent Filipino artists (OPM) and Fil-creatives worldwide
- By submitting, you grant TKR the right to broadcast your music 24/7 on our station
- Your artist profile and tracks may be featured on hub.tunogkalye.net
- We promote selected artists across our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
- Submission is free. We do not charge for airplay or artist profile features
- You retain full ownership and rights to your music at all times
How It Works
Our curatorial team reviews all submissions within 48 hours.
Submit Your Track
Use the Submit a Track form on the Community page or directly through your Artist Dashboard. Fill out your band name, real name, contact email, streaming links, city, genre, and a short message about your music.
Curatorial Review
Our curatorial team listens to every submission. We evaluate production quality, originality, alignment with the TKR sound (OPM, indie, alternative, and experimental Filipino music), and broadcast readiness. This process typically takes up to 48 hours.
Acceptance & Onboarding
Approved artists receive a confirmation email and are onboarded to the TKR rotation. Your tracks are added to our AutoDJ queue, and your artist profile is activated on the Hub with a verified badge, store access, and community features.
