Setting Up Stripe Connect

Stripe Connect is how you receive payments on Tunog Kalye Radio Hub. This guide walks you through the entire setup process.

Prerequisites

Before starting, you'll need:

• An active artist account on Tunog Kalye
• A valid government-issued ID (for identity verification)
• A bank account where you want to receive payouts
• Your business details (or individual details if you're a solo artist)

Starting the Setup

1. Go to your Artist Dashboard at /artist/dashboard
2. Click on "Payment Setup" in the sidebar
3. Click "Connect with Stripe"
4. You'll be redirected to Stripe's onboarding flow

The Stripe Onboarding Flow

Stripe will ask you to complete these steps:

1. Account Type

Choose "Individual" if you're a solo artist, or "Business" if you have a registered company or LLC.

2. Business Information

Enter your legal name (or business name), address, and phone number. Make sure this matches your bank account details.

3. Identity Verification

Upload a clear photo of your government ID. This is required by financial regulations and typically processes within minutes.

4. Bank Account

Link your bank account for payouts. Stripe supports banks in the Philippines, Canada, US, and most countries worldwide.

5. Payout Schedule

Configure how often you want to receive payouts:

• Manual — Trigger payouts on demand
• Automatic — Daily, weekly, or monthly

Revenue Split

Tunog Kalye operates on a 90/10 revenue split:

• You keep 90% of every sale
• 10% goes to Tunog Kalye for operation costs — platform maintenance, server hosting, bandwidth, and development

Stripe processing fees (approximately 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) are deducted from your portion before payout.

Troubleshooting

• "Verification pending" — Wait up to 48 hours for Stripe to process. If still pending, contact Stripe support
• "Bank account rejected" — Ensure your bank details match exactly what's on file with your bank
• "Country not supported" — Reach out to us at hello@tunogkalye.net for alternative payment arrangements

After setup, check your Stripe status anytime at /artist/dashboard/stripe.
